I have over 20 years of experience in operational excellence and Lean Six Sigma within the consulting industry. This followed 18 years in industry, in engineering management, manufacturing management, and then quality management at Group Business Area level. It was whilst in industry I became a certified Six Sigma Blackbelt in 1994, trained by Dr. Mikel Harry, who was one of the co-founders of Six Sigma when he worked with Motorola. I trained many cohorts from across Europe in our organisation to Black Belt level and supported the global Six Sigma initiative within our company’s Power Transformer Business Area. During this period, I also became a local author of the book “Six Sigma: The Pragmatic Approach” second edition published by Studentlitteratur of Sweden.

When I moved to consulting, I was certified by Celerant Consulting as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. I later successfully completed Accenture’s Lean Six Sigma Academy in Dallas, Texas, and passed Shell’s Lean Six Sigma Consultant Assessment Board. Within consulting, I have delivered transformation and performance improvement projects across many organisations and industries, particularly Health, Oil and Gas, Shared Services, Social Housing, Pharmaceuticals, and Manufacturing, in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

I feel I have the same passion and enthusiasm for delivering change and improvement as ever, and I still get a huge buzz through meeting and working with talented people and learning about different situations, cultures and industries. Whilst across industries there is increasing attention on technology, from what I see in organisations, I believe the need to focus on Process, People, and Measurement and Review systems, and Continuous Improvement, is at least as strong now as it was when I started out on my journey.
